Lake C.I. Dress Code for Visitors: What to Wear (and What Will Get You Turned Away)
Dress code violations are one of the easiest ways to get turned away at the door. Visiting Lake C.I.? Know the rules they enforce every single time: shirts and shoes required, nothing too short, and absolutely no camouflage.
You must wear a shirt to enter the visiting area at Lake C.I. No exceptions. Show up without one, and you're not getting in - this rule is enforced consistently, regardless of who's working.
- ✓ Wear shoes (required to enter the visiting area).
- ✓ Don’t wear Heelys.
- ✓ Don’t wear any footwear with removable parts.
Lake C.I. has strict length requirements. Dresses, skirts, and Bermuda-length shorts cannot be more than three inches above the knee. If you're second-guessing whether something runs a little short, pick a longer option. Being even slightly over that limit can mean getting turned away after you've already made the drive.
Skip the camouflage. Lake C.I. doesn't allow military-style camo of any kind - jungle (green), urban (grey/black), or desert (tan/brown). If it looks like camo, leave it at home.
