Before sending any funds, call Lamb County Jail directly to verify the rules. Policies change, and a quick phone call prevents returned payments or money ending up in the wrong account. Reach them at 806-385-7900.

If you need the physical location for paperwork or in-person questions, Lamb County Jail is at 1200 East Waylon, Littlefield, TX 79339.

If the person you're helping is in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ), one option is a free monthly ACH debit from your checking account. A set amount gets debited around the 5th of each month, and the offender's trust account is credited around the 10th. Good choice if you want something automatic and predictable.

  1. Complete the ACH authorization form - Fill out the authorization paperwork required for TDCJ’s monthly debit.
  2. Attach a voided check - Include a voided check from the checking account that will be debited.
  3. Mail the form and voided check - Send it to: Inmate Trust Fund, PO Box 629, Huntsville, Texas 77342-0629.
  4. Call with trust-fund questions - For questions about the Inmate Trust Fund, contact 936-438-8990.

TDCJ also accepts money orders or cashier's checks, but the payee line has to be exact. Write it as: "Inmate Trust Fund for Offender Name and Number." Get this wrong, and your deposit could be delayed or rejected.

  1. Ask the offender for deposit slips - If they can send you slips, that’s usually the fastest route.
  2. Request deposit slips by mail - If you can’t get slips from the offender, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Inmate Trust Fund, PO Box 60, Huntsville, TX 77342-0060.
