Topic Overviews

Visitation

Start by submitting a single visitor application, then wait for approval. Applications are processed in the order received and can take up to 45 business days. Don't submit duplicates. A second application voids the first and restarts the timeline. You must be approved and added to the incarcerated person's Approved Visitor List, and you can only be on one person's list (which stays active even after transfers). In-person visits are first come, first served. The visit room can fill up, so there's a real chance you could be turned away. Everyone entering for a visit is subject to search under DOC safety policy. Minors need a notarized DOC 20-441 consent form attached to their online application and must be accompanied the entire time. EFV and LTAP have separate applications and requirements.

Communication

Larch Corrections uses Securus for video visits. To schedule one, you need to be on the incarcerated person's approved visitor list and have a Securus account set up. Book through Securus at least 24 hours in advance. Visits run in 30-minute slots and are first come, first served. All video sessions are recorded and monitored by designated staff to ensure they follow facility rules. For phone calls, there's no application or verification process on your end. Incarcerated individuals place outbound calls using an assigned PIN and are responsible for any calls made with it. Phone communications are monitored and recorded, except legal calls to bar-recognized numbers, which are unmonitored.

Sending Money

You can send money to someone at Larch Corrections through electronic vendors, lobby kiosks, retail cash services, or by mailing a cashier's check or money order (available options may vary by facility and vendor). For Western Union, enter City Code "WA DOC" and State "WA," then use the incarcerated person's DOC number plus their last name as the account number. Western Union fees apply. For example, sending $75.01 to $200.00 costs an $8.95 fee. Do not mail cash, personal checks, or stamps. These will be rejected and returned at the incarcerated individual's expense. If mailing a cashier's check or money order, include the intended sub-account and write the incarcerated individual's full name and six-digit DOC number on the payee line.
