Getting Someone Out on Weekend Bond at Comanche County Detention Center (Lawton)

"Weekend bond release" at Comanche County lets you post bail even when the Comanche County Courthouse is closed. If the charge and bond amount appear on the detention center's weekend bond schedule, you can pay at the Comanche County Detention Center and get the person out during those off-hours.

Weekend bond only applies to misdemeanors. Felony charges aren't eligible for release through this schedule.

Here's one example from the schedule: "Driving under the influence (DUI) or actual physical control" carries a $1,000 bond amount for weekend release. Use that as a reference point, but confirm the exact charge and amount with the jail before showing up with payment.

For DUI, driving while impaired, or public drunkenness arrests (items 10, 11, and 12 on the schedule), there's an extra rule: the person must wait 8 hours after booking before they can be released on weekend bond. Even if you have the cash ready, the detention center won't complete the release until that window passes.

Note: DUI/driving while impaired/public intoxication on the weekend schedule is not eligible if the incident involved personal injury, property damage, or an aggravated DUI with .15 BAC or more.
