Virtual Visits with Someone at Leath: Setup, Scheduling, and Technical Support

You can request a virtual visit if you're already on the incarcerated person's approved visitation list. Create your visitor account through the SCDC GTL site at scdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app. If multiple people in your household plan to visit, each person still needs their own account - even if you'll be joining the same visit.

Use your legal name exactly as it appears on the approved visitation list. No nicknames, shortened versions, or alternate spellings. This trips people up more than anything else - your account name must match the visitation list, and each visitor needs their own account under their own matching name.

Virtual visits must be scheduled at least three days in advance, and you can't book more than seven days out. If you want a specific day and time, don't wait - once you're inside that 3-to-7-day window, book as soon as you can.

Plans change. You can modify a scheduled virtual visit up to two days before. Need to cancel? Do it at least one day before the visit date.

Technical problems - trouble connecting, audio or video issues, platform glitches - go to GTL Visitor Support at 1-855-208-7349. This is separate from visitation-list or name issues.

Good news: SCDC Form 19-118 (Authorization for Adult Supervision of a Minor) isn't required for virtual visits. That form only applies to in-person visits at the institution.
