Commissary at Lee County Jail runs on a weekly cycle. Inmates place orders on Monday, and those orders are delivered on Thursday. The cutoff and delivery dates stay the same each week.

Sending a money order for commissary? Make sure it arrives before 10:00 a.m. on Monday. That's the cutoff for that week's Thursday delivery.

  1. Make the money order payable to the inmate: Use the incarcerated person’s name as the payee.
  2. Address the envelope to the inmate: Put the inmate’s name on the envelope so it is routed correctly.

No outside packages: Lee County Jail does not accept outside packages for inmates.

If your loved one doesn't have money for commissary, there's still some basic support. Indigent inmates receive personal hygiene items, paper, pencil, envelopes, and stamps on a weekly basis.

Phone time works two ways. Inmates can buy phone cards through commissary. If you want to add minutes from the outside, call NCIC Customer Service at (800) 483-8314. They're available 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

For commissary questions, call the Commissary Officer at (979) 542-2800. This is the best number if you need to check on timing or confirm whether a money order arrived before the weekly cutoff.
