ID Required

  • Current driver’s license with photo
  • State-issued photo ID card
  • Military ID
  • Passport

You need an acceptable photo ID to visit at Lee County Jail. No approved photo ID, no visit. It's that simple.

Prohibited Items

  • Purses
  • Coats
  • Cell phones
  • Cameras
  • Any recording-type device
  • Packages of any kind

Think of it this way: you're bringing two things inside. Your identification and your keys. Lee County Jail instructs visitors to lock everything else in their vehicle, including purses, coats, phones, cameras, recording devices, and packages.

Expect security screening. All visitors can be searched, either at entry or during visitation.

What you wear matters. Jail administration reserves the right to deny visitation to anyone they consider improperly dressed. The same goes for anyone suspected of carrying contraband.

Warning: Improper conduct will end a visit. If you show signs of alcohol or drug use, you won't be allowed to visit and a deputy will be contacted.

You have to be on the inmate's approved visitation list. Lee County inmates fill out this list before being housed in general population and can designate up to five individuals (including minors) as unofficial visitors. Only people on that list may visit. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by a guardian.

  1. Check your ID before you return - Bring a current driver’s license with photo, a state photo ID card, a Military ID, or a passport. Without an acceptable photo ID, you will be turned away.
  2. Reset and come back ready to follow conduct rules - Proper conduct is expected, and improper conduct can terminate a visit.
