Anyone under 18 can't visit Lehigh County Jail alone. A minor must be accompanied by a parent - or be visiting a parent who's incarcerated there. Plan for this from the start. If the right adult isn't with the child, the visit won't happen.
Note: The accompanying adult still has to clear normal entry rules. Bring a current, valid, government-issued photo ID that includes a date of birth - without acceptable ID, you won’t be admitted.
Lehigh County Jail requires the child's original long-form (complete) birth certificate - the version that lists both parents' names. Short forms won't work. Neither will other versions. Only the long/complete form gets a minor through the door.
