How to Put Money on an Inmate's Account at Leon County Jail (Kiosk, Online, Phone)

Leon County Jail accepts deposits through a cash kiosk in the Detention Center lobby or through JPay online and by phone. The lobby kiosk lets you select the specific inmate account and prints a receipt when you're done. Prefer not to visit in person? JPay takes Visa debit or credit cards. One thing to know: deposits through the visitation lobby or by mail haven't been accepted since December 15, 2008. Stick with the lobby kiosk, JPay online, or JPay by phone to avoid any issues.

  1. Go to the ATM-style kiosk in the Detention Center lobby - it’s available to the public for deposits.
  2. Select the correct inmate account - the kiosk is set up so you can choose the specific person you want to deposit money for.
  3. Insert cash for your deposit - this kiosk accepts cash only.
  4. Finish the transaction and take your receipt - the kiosk prints a receipt for the deposit.

Tip: Bring cash - the lobby kiosk doesn't take cards. Hold onto your printed receipt in case you need to verify the deposit later.

Can't make it to the lobby? Add funds online through JPay's payment website. It accepts Visa debit or credit cards, making it the easiest option when you're depositing from home.

Prefer to call? Deposit by phone through JPay at 800-574-5729. Follow the prompts to pay with a Visa debit or credit card.

  • Have the inmate’s identifying information ready so you can select the correct account
  • Have your Visa debit or credit card ready if you’re using JPay
  • Use JPay’s online payment site if you’re depositing over the internet
  • Use JPay’s toll-free phone option (800-574-5729) if you’re depositing by telephone
  • If you’re trying to add money specifically for phone calls, expect that to run through the jail’s phone provider instead of JPay

Not accepted: Mail-in deposits and visitation lobby deposits have been discontinued since December 15, 2008. Use the lobby kiosk, JPay online, or JPay by phone instead.

Looking to help someone make phone calls instead? Leon County Detention Facility switched from CenturyLink to Securus for inmate phone service. To add money to a phone account, head to securustech.net.

Heads up: Phone account funds and commissary deposits are handled separately. For telephone money, use Securus. For general account deposits by card, go through JPay online or call their toll-free number.
