How to Claim Your Free Weekly 15‑Minute Lobby Visit at Lewis County Jail

Lewis County Jail gives each inmate one free 15‑minute visit per week in the jail lobby. The program started in May 2022 and runs first‑come, first‑serve. Get there early - stations fill up, and if they're all taken, you'll have to try again another day.

Free lobby stations are available Monday through Friday during two windows: 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Stations aren't available on holidays, so plan accordingly if you're trying to squeeze in your weekly 15 minutes.

Bring your ID. You'll need it to check in before using a lobby station.

Tip: Arrive 5–10 minutes early so you have time to check in before your lobby visit starts.

If you’re heading to the front lobby in person, the Lewis County Jail lobby is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. That’s the general lobby window, separate from the specific time blocks when free visit stations are available.

No one under 18 is allowed in the lobby. If a minor wants to visit, they'll need to connect from a home computer or phone app instead.
