What to Expect When Your Loved One Calls from Lewis County Jail — And How to Add Phone Funds
That first jail call can catch you off guard. Lewis County Jail uses HomeWav, and you'll hear a recorded prompt with a few options. Here's what to expect and three ways to add money so your loved one can keep calling.
Lewis County Jail’s inmate phone system is provided by HomeWav. That’s the name you’ll see (and hear) when calls come through and when you add money for phone time.
Only inmates can place calls from the facility. You can't dial in to reach them - your phone rings when they call out.
Reminder: All calls are subject to recording and monitoring.
When the call comes through, you'll hear something like this:
- Go to the HomeWav website - Start from HomeWav’s main site.
- Select “Deposit Funds NOW!” - Use the “Deposit Funds NOW!” button at the top of the HomeWav webpage.
- Complete the deposit - Follow the prompts to add money to your loved one’s phone account.
Heading to the jail in person? You can add money at the HomeWav kiosk in the front lobby.
Prefer to add funds by phone? Call 314-764-2872 and follow the prompts to deposit money into the inmate's phone account.
Fee alert: Adding funds by phone has a $1.00 charge.
There's no minimum deposit. Need to add just a few dollars to tide them over until payday? That works.
The maximum you can add in a single transaction is $250.00.
If someone has been released and has leftover funds, HomeWav offers an ex-inmate refund request form on their website.
Friends or family members who want a refund can use a separate visitor/friend refund request form on the HomeWav website.
