How to add or change names on an inmate's Visitors List at Lindsey State Jail

At Lindsey State Jail, an inmate can have up to 10 people on their approved Visitors List at one time. If the list is already full, someone usually has to be removed before a new name can be added.

State jail inmates can request changes to their Visitors List once every 60 days. This applies to state jail facilities and similar programs like ISF and SAFP. By comparison, "institutional" inmates can only make changes once every six months. Because of this timing, coordinate carefully with your loved one before they submit any changes - especially if you're swapping one visitor for another. You don't want to get stuck waiting another 60 days.

How to add or change names on an inmate's Visitors List at Lindsey State Jail

The inmate is the one who requests Visitors List changes, so start by talking with them about exactly what name and contact information they want listed. Before you travel, call the unit for final confirmation. Schedules and statuses change - a quick call helps you avoid showing up after a cancellation or when the inmate can't receive visitors that day.

Note: Since September 1, 2020, only people on the inmate's approved visitor list (or Inmate Telephone List) can deposit money into their account. If you're planning to help with commissary funds, getting on the right list matters.
