How to create your TDCJ visitation scheduler account (for visitors to Lindsey State Jail)

Go to the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler at https://visitation.tdcj.texas.gov/Visitation/startLoginAction.action. You’ll create the account yourself - TDCJ staff can’t create visitor accounts for you.

Click to create an account and enter a valid email address you can access right now. The system will send you a 7-digit validation code and a link to finish registration. Pick that email carefully. Once your account is tied to an email address, it's permanent - you can't change it or delete the account later. Take an extra moment to use an address you'll keep long-term.

You'll hit the Background Questionnaire during setup. Every question must be answered before you can move forward, so set aside enough time to finish it in one sitting.

1. Open the scheduler login page - go to the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler sign-in screen.
2. Enter your account email - type the email address you used when you registered.
3. Click “Forgot Password/Reset Password” - use the reset link on the login page.
4. Check your email for the reset message - follow the emailed steps to set a new password.

• ✓ Use an email address you expect to keep - your scheduler account can’t be deleted, and the email on it can’t be changed.
• ✓ Type phone numbers as XXX XXX XXXX with spaces (no dashes).
• ✓ Call the unit for final confirmation before you travel, since visitation information is updated and it’s smart to verify before you’re on the road.
