What Livingston County Jail Charges: Daily Fees, Booking Costs, and What Gets Deducted

Livingston County charges $45 per day for room and board. State law actually allows up to $60 per day, but this jail sticks with $45.

There's also a $12 booking fee charged to the inmate's account at intake. The county collects this under Public Act 124 of 2003.

What Livingston County Jail Charges: Daily Fees, Booking Costs, and What Gets Deducted

When someone is booked in, any cash they have on them goes into their inmate account. This account handles most of the financial activity during their stay.

  • Posting bond
  • Buying commissary items
  • Paying for phone calls
  • Paying jail housing and other fees charged to the account (available funds may be applied to balances due)

At release, the jail may apply the account balance toward any fees owed. If there's still a balance due after that, the former inmate is responsible for paying it.

Livingston County turns all inmate accounts over to Celco Ltd for payment processing - whether there's a balance owed or not. If you're trying to figure out what's owed or why you received a bill, this handoff is the key step to understand.

Warning: If you don't make payment arrangements within 30 days of receiving an invoice, the account may go to collections or result in legal action.

Questions about your lodging reimbursement bill? Contact Celco Ltd at P.O. Box 932765, Cleveland, OH 44193-0015, or call (877) 507-6643.
