If your request is still under
- Go to the TDCJ Offender Search - use the state’s offender search tool to look up the person if you don’t have their number.
- Find the TDCJ/SID number - you’ll need this number to add the person to your visitor profile.
- Enter the number exactly as required - when you type it into the scheduler, the inmate’s TDCJ or SID number must be exactly 8 digits.

Verify Before Travel
- ✓ Check your scheduler home page: if it’s still under “Relation Requests Pending Approval,” you’re still waiting on unit staff approval.
- ✓ If it’s under “Verified Inmate Relations,” look for “Schedule Visit” next to the person’s name.
- ✓ If “Schedule Visit” isn’t there (blank or “Call Unit”), contact the unit of assignment for their scheduling process.
- ✓ If you’re stuck because you don’t have the TDCJ/SID number, use the offender search or call (936) 295-6371 or (800) 535-0283 (Mon–Fri, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.).
