No. You can mail a money order for someone in Florida DOC without creating or logging into a JPay account.

No - JPay does not charge a fee when you send funds by mailed money order, cashier’s check, or certified bank draft. (Any cost you pay would be from the place you buy the money order, not JPay.)

Once JPay receives your money order, approved payments are processed within ten (10) business days. Weekends and holidays don't count, so plan ahead if your loved one needs funds by a certain date.

  • Double-check the incarcerated person’s name and DC# on the Money Order Deposit Form before you mail anything.
  • Keep each single money order at $999.99 or less.
  • Include a copy of your photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, or passport) with the deposit form.
  • Fill in a valid email address and a mailing address on the deposit form - without both, the money order will not be processed.

Stuck filling out the form? Call JPay customer service at 800-574-5729.

Warning: Don’t include letters or notes in the envelope with your money order payment. They will be discarded.

Most delays come down to missing information. The deposit form needs both a valid email address and a mailing address - without them, the money order won't be processed. You'll also need to include a copy of your photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport).
