On-site visitation runs from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Plan your arrival so your visit can begin on time, because the last visit must start no later than 9:30 pm.

Each inmate is allowed one adult visitor per visit. Up to two children can accompany that adult, as long as they're supervised. One more thing: visitors can only see an inmate once per day.

IDs and Exceptions

  • State-issued identification card or driver’s license
  • Military identification card
  • Law enforcement agency or commission ID with photo
  • Official passport

Heads up: Certain documents cannot be used if they are expired, including I-94s, border crossing cards, green cards, work authorization cards, and foreign national passports.

Prohibited Items Lockers

  • Food
  • Gum
  • Candy
  • Drinks
  • Cell phones
  • Purses
  • Backpacks
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Bags of any kind

Bringing personal items? You'll need to lock them up before entering the visitation room. Lockers are provided, but they require a quarter to operate. You get the quarter back when you return the key.

On-site visits are limited to one per person, per inmate, per day. Remote video visits work differently: for inmates in general population housing, they're unlimited. You'll need to schedule them in advance through SmartInmate, and there's a fee.

Special Housing Unit (SHU) visits are scheduled by jail staff based on the current visitation schedule. To arrange a SHU visit, call 806-775-7019.

Before You Go Tips

  • Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID if you are over 17
  • Keep your group within the limit (one adult, up to two children)
  • Leave everything else in your car when you can, especially phones, bags, and anything on the prohibited list
  • Bring a solid quarter for the locker, you will get it back when you return the key
  • If you are planning a remote visit, schedule it ahead of time
