How to Schedule Your First Visit with an Inmate at Lynaugh Unit (TDCJ Online Scheduler)

All visit scheduling for Lynaugh Unit goes through the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler. You'll need to create your own visitor account - TDCJ staff can't do this for you. Once you're set up, you'll book visits through the scheduler. One exception: if the Schedule Visit button is blank or says

1. Start a new account with your email - In the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler, choose the option to create an account and enter a valid email address you control.
2. Submit your email and check your inbox - After you submit, TDCJ sends you an email with a 7-digit validation code and a link to finish registration.
3. Complete registration through that link - Use the link from the email to continue the signup steps and set your password.
4. Remember: you must do this yourself - Visitors must create their own accounts; TDCJ staff can’t create a visitor account for you.

After you verify your email, you'll hit the Background Questionnaire. Set aside time to finish it in one sitting - the system won't let you move forward until every question is answered.

Watch the phone number field when filling out your visitor profile. The scheduler is picky about formatting: enter it as XXX XXX XXXX with spaces, not dashes.

After creating your visitor account, you'll manage visitation access through the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler. If you hit a wall and can't proceed, double-check that you've completed all the account-creation steps - TDCJ staff can't set up your account for you.

Sometimes the scheduler won't offer an online booking option. If the Schedule Visit button is blank or shows

• ✓ Use an email address you plan to keep long-term (the account can’t be deleted and the email can’t be changed once it’s created).
