David Wade Visiting Hours: When You Can (and Can't) Come In
Planning a trip to David Wade Correctional Center? Timing matters. The schedule is straightforward, but a couple of cutoffs can turn a long drive into a wasted one if you miss them.
Regular visiting days at David Wade Correctional Center are Thursday through Saturday. Traveling from out of town? Aim for one of those three days so you don't make the trip when visits aren't held.
Visiting hours run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. That window helps you plan your drive and check-in, but you can't walk in at any time and still get admitted. Keep the midday blackout and the 3:00 p.m. start cutoff in mind as you plan.
Visitors won't be admitted between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Show up during that half-hour and you could be stuck waiting, risking lost visit time. Either get there and checked in before 11:00 a.m., or plan to arrive after 11:30 a.m.
Note: Short admission blackouts like the 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. pause typically allow staff to handle routine security or processing. The takeaway is simple: don't time your arrival for that window.
No visits may start after 3:00 p.m. Visiting hours extend to 4:00 p.m., but arriving too late means you'll be turned away for the day.
