Infant Toddler Items

  • No more than five (5) diapers for an infant.
  • No more than three (3) clear baby bottles.
  • No more than two (2) toddler sipper cups.
  • No more than three (3) clear plastic jars of sealed (unopened) baby food.

If you take prescription medication, bring only the dosage you need for the visit. Skip the extra pills "just in case." The allowance is limited to what's necessary for that visit window.

Keep each prescription in its original container. The label must be clearly readable and show the medication type, dosage requirements, and the name of the person it's prescribed to.

You can bring one (1) vehicle key into the visiting area. Leave extra keys, keychains, or spares elsewhere.

Keyless entry devices: These are prohibited unless the duty warden (or designee) visually inspects and approves the device as your only way to access a motor vehicle, and determines it does not pose a threat to institutional security.

Each visitor can bring up to $50.00 in cash to buy snacks and beverages. This limit applies per visitor, regardless of age.

Bring small bills. Only $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills are accepted for visitor cash purchases.

Everything you buy from the vending machines must be consumed in the visiting area. Keep that in mind if you're visiting with kids.

  1. Pack as light as possible - The fewer items you bring, the less you have to manage during check-in and the easier it is to avoid bringing something that will be denied.
  2. Separate essentials before you leave home - Put must-have items (like medications you need during the visit and any baby supplies) in one place so you’re not sorting at the entrance.
  3. Leave valuables secured - If you don’t need it for the visit, lock it in your vehicle or leave it at home (extra cash, jewelry, expensive accessories).
  4. Plan for vending ahead of time - If you expect to buy snacks or drinks, bring cash that’s already organized so you’re not fumbling at the machines.
  5. Give yourself a quick re-check in the parking lot - Take 30 seconds to confirm you’re only carrying what you intend to bring inside.
