Sending Money to Someone at Maine Correctional Center: Deposit Limits, Timing, and How to Pay

MDOC's online deposit service (run through InforME) lets you add funds with a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card. You can deposit to both general (trust) accounts and phone accounts - so one system handles everyday commissary needs and calling funds.

The limits are strict. You can deposit up to $100 per day to a general (trust) account and up to $100 per day to a phone account. There's also a weekly cap of $200 per account. So if you deposit $100 to someone's trust account on Monday and try to add another $150 later that week, you'll hit the weekly limit. The phone account has its own separate $200 weekly cap.

• ✓ A single email address can’t be used to make more than a $100 general (trust) deposit and $100 phone deposit in the same day.
• ✓ If you’re depositing to both the general (trust) and phone accounts, you must pay for both within a single transaction.

Deposits are non-refundable, so double-check the resident information before you submit. Funds typically show up in about three business days - don't wait until the last minute if they need money for commissary or phone time.
