How to Schedule Your First Visit at Manatee Jail's Visitation Center
Scheduling your first visit at Manatee Jail's Visitation Center is straightforward once you know the timing rules. Follow these steps to book your visit and arrive prepared.
Manatee Jail’s Visitation Center is located at 2705 County Line Road, Palmetto, FL.
The Visitation Center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Plan any scheduling calls or in-person visits within those windows.
- Call during Visitation Center hours - Call (941) 747-3011 ext. 2902 between 8 a.m.–1 p.m. or 2 p.m.–7 p.m.
- Tell them it’s your first visit and you need the next day - First-time visitors should schedule by phone for the following day.
- Lock in the details before you hang up - The visitation clerk can only schedule a visit one day prior, so this call is your window to get tomorrow’s visit set.
Online booking opens 7 days in advance and closes 1 day before your visit. The hard deadline: all visits must be scheduled by 11:59 p.m. the night before. No same-day changes or cancellations allowed. Heads up - if you book a remote visit and don't cancel by 11:59 p.m. the day prior, you'll still be charged the nominal fee.
Before you can schedule visits online, you'll need to register at https://manateefl.gtlvisitme.com/app. Wait for your registration to be approved - once it is, you can start booking through the site.
No internet? There's a computer in the Visitation Center lobby you can use.
Don't arrive too early. Manatee Jail asks visitors to show up no more than 15 minutes before their scheduled start time - you won't be able to wait inside if you're earlier than that.
Time-sensitive: If you check in after your scheduled session has already started, you won’t be permitted to enter and the visit is automatically canceled.
Something come up? You'll need to handle it ahead of time. All visits must be scheduled by 11:59 p.m. the day before, and the facility doesn't allow same-day changes or cancellations.
