How to Schedule Your First Visit at Manatee Jail (Visitation Center)
Scheduling your first visit at Manatee Jail is straightforward once you understand the timing rules. This guide covers registration, booking an appointment, and checking in—so your visit goes smoothly.
All visits happen at the Manatee Jail Visitation Center, 2705 County Line Road in Palmetto, Florida. This is where you'll go for onsite video visits - not the main jail building.
The Visitation Center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visits are by appointment only. You'll need to schedule ahead of time, even if you're planning to visit this week.
First, register through the ViaPath visitation website. Your registration needs approval before you can book visits. Once approved, you'll schedule everything online.

After approval, you can book visits online up to 7 days ahead - but no later than 11:59 p.m. the day before your visit. Don't wait until the last minute.
Heads up: No same-day changes or cancellations are allowed, so only book a time you know you can make.
First-time visitors can also schedule by phone for the following day. Call (941) 747-3011 ext. 2902 during help line hours: 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
- Arrive within the allowed window - You must arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.
- Check in before the session starts - If you check in after the start of your scheduled session, you won’t be permitted to enter and the visit is automatically canceled.

What to Bring
- ✓ A valid (non-expired) government-issued photo ID that shows your date of birth
- ✓ Acceptable IDs include a driver’s license, state ID, military ID, or a passport with a photo attached
- ✓ Wear shoes and a shirt
- ✓ Skip suggestive or revealing clothing (including see-through fabrics, halter or tube tops, short shorts, and mini-skirts)
- ✓ Make sure you have appropriate underclothing
