Understanding Manatee Jail's Visit Limits: How Often and How Long You Can Visit

Each inmate at Manatee Jail can receive three visits per week, with each visit lasting one hour. That weekly cap is the big constraint - especially if multiple family members want to see the same person. There's also a daily limit: no more than two visits per inmate in a single day. The jail does allow back-to-back visits with the same inmate, as long as you stay within both the daily and weekly limits. On your end, you can visit up to two different inmates per day. Helpful if you have more than one loved one at the facility or you're coordinating visits for others in your family.

  • Inmates can receive three one-hour visits per week.
  • Inmates can have no more than two visits in a single day.
  • Visitors may visit up to two different inmates per day.
  • Back-to-back visits with the same inmate are allowed.

You'll need to register on the jail's visitation website before you can schedule anything. Wait for your registration to be approved - only then can you book visits online. Once approved, you can schedule visits up to 7 days in advance, or as late as 1 day before. That's a decent window, but waiting too long means fewer time slots to choose from. The cutoff is strict: visits must be scheduled by 11:59 p.m. the day before. Same-day changes or cancellations aren't allowed. Lock in your plan ahead of time.

Plan ahead: You have to schedule by 11:59 p.m. the day prior, and you can’t change or cancel a visit the same day.

  1. Count the weekly visits before you book - Each inmate gets three one-hour visits per week, so coordinate with other family and friends so the slots don’t get used up unexpectedly.
  2. Watch the daily cap for the inmate - Even if there are openings, an inmate can’t have more than two visits in a day.
  3. Use back-to-back visits when you need more time - Back-to-back visits with the same inmate are allowed, which can help you make the most of a single trip (as long as you stay within the daily limit).
  4. If you’re visiting more than one person, plan your day carefully - You’re allowed to visit up to two different inmates per day, so decide in advance who you’re seeing and when.
  5. Book inside the scheduling window and meet the cutoff - You can schedule up to 7 days ahead and as late as 1 day prior, but you must schedule by 11:59 p.m. the day before, with no same-day changes or cancellations.
