Understanding Manatee Jail's Visit Limits and Rules for Children

Manatee Jail allows each inmate three one-hour visits per week. Keep this cap in mind when coordinating with other family members who also want to visit.

There's also a daily limit: no more than two visits per inmate in a single day. Even if they have visits left for the week, you can't stack more than two sessions onto the same day.

As a visitor, you can see up to two different inmates in one day. If you're supporting more than one person, this helps you plan without getting turned away.

Each visit allows a maximum of three visitors per inmate at one time. Children and infants count toward this total - a baby in arms still takes one of the three spots.

Visiting more than one incarcerated person? Remember the limit is two inmates per day. You may need to choose who you'll see and schedule accordingly.

Kids can't visit alone. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, who is required to stay in the Visitation Center with them throughout the visit.

Note: Unaccompanied minors are not permitted in the Visitation Center.

There’s a specific rule for married minors: if a visitor is under 18 and married to an inmate, they must provide a valid marriage certificate before the visitation session starts. Bring it with you so check-in doesn’t delay or stop the visit.
