How to Request and Confirm a Visit at Manson Youth Institution

You must be on the resident’s approved, active visiting list. Both in-person social visits and video visits at Manson Youth Institution are available only by appointment.

Before you schedule, review the Connecticut Department of Correction's visiting information. The facility also links to a visiting schedule labeled effective November 13, 2024.

To request an in-person or video appointment, complete the official Visit Request Form linked by Manson Youth Institution.

Submitting the request does not schedule your visit. An in-person or video visit is scheduled only once you receive confirmation from the facility. Check your junk-mail folder for the confirmation and any other emails about your visit.

Visits are scheduled according to the resident's housing location. If the resident moves to another housing location, the visit is cancelled and has to be rescheduled. The resident is responsible for telling you that rescheduling is needed.
