Setting Up Video Visits at Mass Treatment Center (Securus Video Visitation)

Video visits at Mass Treatment Center aren't a shortcut around the regular visiting process. You still need to be on the inmate's pre-approved visiting list before you can schedule through Securus. Your loved one kicks off that process - they're the one who submits visitor names to the institution.

Note: Before you spend time trying to book a video visit, make sure your loved one has added you to their pre-approved visiting list.

Setting Up Video Visits at Mass Treatment Center (Securus Video Visitation)

Getting approved means completing a Visitor Application Form and mailing it to Mass Treatment Center. You'll find the mailing address on page three of the application, or on the Prison Locations page. Once processed, both you and the inmate will hear back about whether you're approved or denied.

  1. Confirm your loved one has submitted your name - The inmate is responsible for telling the institution who may visit by submitting each visitor’s name.
  2. Get the Visitor Application Form - Use the official Visitor Application Form for Massachusetts prisons.
  3. Fill out the form completely - Incomplete forms can slow down processing.
  4. Mail the application to Mass Treatment Center - Use the institution mailing address listed on the third page of the application or on the Prison Locations page.
  5. Wait for the decision notice - The application is processed, and both you and the inmate will be notified of approval or denial.

While you wait for approval, go ahead and create your Securus Video Visitation account online. Having it ready means you can schedule a visit the moment you're cleared.

Step3 Schedule Verify

  • Confirm you’re on the inmate’s pre-approved visiting list (video visits require pre-approval).
  • If you’re not sure whether you’re approved yet, wait for the approval/denial notice before trying to schedule.
  • Make sure you’ve created your Securus Video Visitation account online.
  • If the scheduling rules or available time slots aren’t clear, contact the institution for guidance.

The most common snag? Trying to book before pre-approval goes through. Video visitors must complete the same approval process and appear on the pre-approved list before scheduling. If you think you should be approved but can't book, call the institution directly - that's usually the fastest way to sort it out.

Note: Before you rely on video visits, double-check current details (availability, session length, and any fees) with Securus and the facility.
