When you open Matagorda County's public access site, you'll see two separate search areas:

Probate Search By

  • âś“ Case - Choose this on the Probate Case Records screen when you want to search at the case level.
  • âś“ Party - Choose this on the Probate Case Records screen when you want to search records connected to a person/party.
  • âś“ Attorney - Choose this on the Probate Case Records screen when you want to search for cases tied to a specific attorney.

Court Calendar Search By

  • âś“ Attorney - Use this on the Court Calendar screen when you’re trying to find hearings associated with a particular attorney.
  • âś“ Case - Use this on the Court Calendar screen when you already have a case you’re looking up and want to see calendar/docket activity for it.
  • âś“ Judicial Officer - Use this on the Court Calendar screen when you want to see hearings assigned to a specific judicial officer.
  • âś“ Party or Defendant Name - Use this on the Court Calendar screen when you’re searching for hearings by the person’s name.

After running your search, you'll land on the Search Results screen. Click the case number hyperlink on the left side to open the full case information.

Already viewing the Register of Actions? Click the case number hyperlink at the top of that screen to access the case documents.
