In-person visits at Maury Correctional are appointment only. You'll need to call or email the facility to schedule your visit before showing up.

Tip: Call Maury Correctional the day before your scheduled visit to confirm the facility’s visitation status.

Before any visit can happen, your visitor application needs to be completed and approved by facility staff. If you haven't been approved yet, focus on that first. Once you're cleared, then schedule your appointment.

Maury limits how many people can be on each offender's approved list. The cap is 18 approved visitors total, and that count includes both adults and minors.

ID Requirements

  • If you are 16 or older: attach a copy of an approved picture ID to your visitor application.
  • If the visitor is under 16: attach a copy of the minor’s birth certificate to the visitor application.

Plan your trip around the appointment system. Since visits are scheduled by calling or emailing ahead of time, arrive prepared to check in for the specific slot you booked. Walk-ins aren't accepted.

Note: If anything about your visit feels uncertain, confirm the details before you drive out. It can save you a long trip and a missed visit.

Dress Code

  • Wear a shirt and shoes. Both are required.
  • Skip see-through fabric. It is not allowed.
  • When choosing an outfit, avoid revealing clothing. Many revealing garments are prohibited.

Can't make it in person? Maury also offers video visits, but only for people on the incarcerated person's approved visitors list. You can connect through the Getting Out Visits app or from home using a web browser with a webcam and microphone.

The approved list matters for video visits, too. Each offender can have up to 18 approved visitors (adults and minors combined), and only people on that list can use video visiting.
