How to Sign Up for Maverick County (Eagle Pass) Emergency & Community Alerts

Maverick County's Hyper-Reach system gets urgent information to you fast - local emergencies, community updates, that kind of thing. When you register with the Community Alerts option, you can add a cell phone, email, and/or TDD to receive notifications. Here's something people overlook: the form asks you to select your street address, and that choice matters. Emergency Alerts targeting your immediate area are delivered based on that selection.

• ✓ Your address details exactly as the form asks for them: Postal Address, City (NOT Municipality), House Number, Apartment/Unit/Suite (if any), and Zip Code
• ✓ Your personal details: First Name(s), Last Name(s), Language Preference, and Special Needs
• ✓ Contact info for everyone in your household (so you can add each person’s phone number and/or email address)

1. Choose your street address carefully - The signup page specifically says to select the correct street address so Emergency Alerts affecting only your immediate area will reach you.
2. Fill in the address fields - Enter the details the form requests (Postal Address, City (NOT Municipality), House Number, Apartment/Unit/Suite if needed, and Zip Code).
3. Add your personal details - Provide First Name(s), Last Name(s), Language Preference, and any Special Needs information.
4. Enter each contact method you want to use - For each entry, choose voice, text, or email, then enter the phone number or email address.
5. Select the alerts you want - Use the form to indicate Community Alerts (so your cellular phone, email, and/or TDD can be notified) and whether you also want Weather Alerts.
6. Include everyone in your household - The form instructs you to add contact info for all household members, so alerts can reach the right people.

If you have a listed landline, Hyper-Reach will automatically call it for Community Alerts. Weather Alerts work differently - listed landlines only get Weather Alert calls if you specifically sign them up.

If your landline is unlisted - or if you want alerts sent to a cell phone - you’ll need to sign that number up. The signup page is clear that unlisted landlines and cell numbers won’t receive alerts unless you add them.

By submitting a mobile number, you're agreeing to receive text messages from Hyper-Reach for the alerts you select. Standard message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. Need help? Reply HELP. Want to stop? Reply STOP to opt out.
