Since September 6, 2023, all incoming mail for TDCJ inmates goes through the Digital Mail Processing Center - not directly to the unit. Personal mail gets scanned there and uploaded to the inmate's secure tablet.
Note: Mail sent to the Digital Mail Processing Center is scanned in color and uploaded to the inmate's tablet, where they can save it and view it anytime.
Send personal letters and everyday correspondence to the Digital Mail Processing Center. Include the inmate's full first and last name plus their TDCJ number, and mail it to: PO Box 660400, Dallas, TX 75266-0400.

- ✓ Documents that require the inmate’s signature (send to the inmate’s unit)
Important: If the paperwork needs your loved one’s signature, it should go directly to the unit - not the Digital Mail Processing Center.
