How to Find Your Loved One’s Minnesota DOC Offender ID (OID) and When to Use It

The Minnesota DOC Offender ID (OID) is the number that follows your loved one through Minnesota Department of Corrections custody. Once you have it, you'll use it constantly to stay in touch and handle basic transactions.

The OID is your loved one's Minnesota DOC Offender ID. You'll need it to contact someone in a Minnesota DOC facility. It's how staff and service providers match your mail or requests to the correct person.
