Video Visits at McNaughton: Hours, Setup, and What to Expect

You must be on the DOC approved visitor list to schedule a video visit. Once approved, create an ICSolutions account and book your visit through their website. MCC uses a Party ID to connect your account to the person you're visiting - and that Party ID is tied to names exactly as they appear on the approved list. Double-check that your information matches what DOC has on file before you try to schedule.

  1. Confirm you’re an approved visitor - You have to be on the DOC approved visitor list before you can schedule or join an ICSolutions video visit at MCC.
  2. Create your ICSolutions account - Register your account first; you can’t schedule without it.
  3. Add the Party ID to your account - A specific Party ID is required. The person in DOC care will be provided that Party ID along with the visitor names as listed on the approved visitor list.
  4. Schedule your visit through ICSolutions - Once your account is set up and linked with the correct Party ID, schedule the video visit on the ICSolutions website.

Name mismatch? If you're not on the DOC approved visitor list - or if your ICSolutions account name doesn't match the name tied to the Party ID - your visit won't go through.

Video visit hours at MCC are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 8:00pm; Friday and Saturday, 8:00am to 9:00pm; and Sunday, 8:00am to 6:00pm. Each session runs about 25–26 minutes. That goes fast, so be ready to connect right when your slot starts.

  • Log in a few minutes early so you’re ready when the 25–26 minute slot begins
  • Plan for a short visit window and save the most important updates for the start
  • If you need an evening or weekend time, schedule as early as you can - those hours tend to fill up faster

During the first six months of the program, each person in DOC care at MCC can receive one free video visit per week - as long as the institution can accommodate it. Availability depends on what's happening inside the facility. If a free slot isn't available when you're trying to book, it's likely an operations issue, not something you did wrong.

Warning: MCC can end a video visit immediately if staff suspect illegal activity or behavior that violates DAI Policy 309.06.01. This includes nudity or sexual acts, drug or alcohol use, displaying weapons or threats, being in an inappropriate location, or driving during the visit.

  • Exposed undergarments
  • Clothing with revealing holes, tears, or slits
  • Clothing or accessories with obscene or profane writing, images, or pictures
  • Gang-related clothing
  • Transparent/translucent (see-through) clothing

Think of a video visit like walking into a visiting room - just through a screen. Find a quiet spot where you can stay on camera the whole time. Dress appropriately. Don't handle anything that looks like a weapon, and avoid anything that could be mistaken for drug or alcohol use. Never join while driving. Keep it calm and straightforward, and you're unlikely to have problems.

If you've used Zoom visits before, that's changing. Zoom visits for family and friends will end once ICSolutions video visitation launches at MCC.
