How to Add an Inmate at Memorial Unit to Your Visitor Profile

To add someone at Memorial Unit to your visitor profile, use the scheduler's Add Inmate option. The search screen lets you look them up by either their TDCJ number or SID number - whichever you have handy.

Don't have the number? You can find it through the online offender search. You can also call (936) 295-6371 or (800) 535-0283 for help.

1. Click “Add Inmate” - this opens the Search Inmate pop-up window.
2. Enter the inmate’s TDCJ number or SID number - use the number you have for the person you’re trying to add.
3. Choose your relationship - pick the best match from the “The Inmate is My” dropdown.
4. Click “Request Approval” - this submits your relationship request for review.

After you click Request Approval and confirm, the system sends a Relationship Request to the inmate's unit. TDCJ staff then verify your relationship with the inmate.

During verification, your request appears on your visitor home page under Relation Requests Pending Approval. Once approved, it moves to Verified Inmate Relations.

Once the relationship appears under Verified Inmate Relations, look for a Schedule Visit button next to the inmate's name. If the button is blank or says Call Unit, you'll need to call the unit directly to schedule your visit.
