Questions about phone service or other communication tech? Start with Inmate Telephone System (ITS) support at (866) 806-7804. Need to escalate an ongoing problem with telephone service, e-messaging, tablets, or video? TDCJ offers a few formal complaint routes: submit the ITS Contact Form, mail the Inmate Technology Services Contract Manager at PO Box 4016, Huntsville, TX 77342-4016, or email offenderphones@tdcj.texas.gov.

Hours: Effective February 2, 2026, Inmate Technology office calling hours will be Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., except for state-recognized holidays.

  1. Use the ITS Contact Form - This is the fastest way to submit a service complaint for phone, e-messaging, tablets, or video.
  2. Send a written complaint - Address it to: Inmate Technology Services Contract Manager, PO Box 4016, Huntsville, TX 77342-4016.
  3. Email the ITS complaint address - Send details to offenderphones@tdcj.texas.gov.

For visitation-list questions, the unit is usually your best starting point. In TDCJ, inmates are responsible for adding loved ones to their Visitation List. Not sure if you're approved? Contact the unit directly for verification using the unit phone list.

If the issue is with the communication service itself - trouble getting calls, problems with e-messaging, tablets, or video - that's handled through ITS/vendor channels, not the unit. Call ITS support at (866) 806-7804. To file a complaint, use the ITS Contact Form, mail the Inmate Technology Services Contract Manager at PO Box 4016, Huntsville, TX 77342-4016, or email offenderphones@tdcj.texas.gov.

Before you can receive calls: You must register your telephone number through the Texas Inmate Telephone Friends & Family Enrollment, and you’ll need the inmate’s TDCJ ID number to register.
