Visiting Hours at Men's Central Jail (MCJ): Days and Time Blocks

Men's Central Jail (MCJ) offers in-person visiting Thursday through Sunday. Show up Monday through Wednesday, and you'll be making the trip for nothing.

The main daytime visiting block runs from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This gives you the widest window to work with, so plan around it if you can.

There's also an evening block from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Helpful if you can't get there during the day, but it's a shorter window. Plan ahead so you don't lose time.

MCJ lists its site hours as Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day. That does not mean you can visit anytime. In-person visits are strictly limited to Thursday through Sunday, during the two published time blocks.

1. Call ahead to confirm visiting is running: Schedules can change, especially around holidays or staffing issues. A quick call can save you a wasted trip.
2. Confirm which time block you’re aiming for: Pick either 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and plan your travel around that window.
3. Ask if there are any same-day issues: If you’re told visiting is limited or paused, ask when you should try again (still within the Thursday through Sunday visiting days).
