Michael Unit offers two types of video visits, and they use completely different scheduling systems. Figure out which one you need, and the rest falls into place.

At Michael Unit,

Stuck at the scheduling step? Double-check which type you're trying to book. Kiosk visits won't show up in the TDCJ portal, and tablet visits can't be booked through Securus - each runs on its own system.

Remote kiosk video visits are a separate option from regular in-person visits. At Michael Unit, you're limited to one per month, and each session runs up to 60 minutes.

A Securus remote kiosk video visit costs $10.00 per session. Plan ahead and be ready to start on time - you're paying for the slot whether you use all 60 minutes or not.

Tablet video visits work differently. You schedule them through the TDCJ visitation portal, not Securus. You'll need your own account in the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler - staff can't create one for you.

Password help: If you can’t log in to the TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler, use the “Forgot Password/Reset Password” option. You’ll enter your email address and get an email with the steps to reset your password.
