How to Schedule Your First On-Site Video Visit at Middle River Regional Jail
Your first visit at Middle River Regional Jail happens by on-site video—not face-to-face. Once you understand the time windows and basic rules, scheduling is pretty straightforward.
Middle River Regional Jail no longer offers traditional face-to-face visits. All visitation now happens by video, using on-site consoles in the visitation area. The bottom line: plan for an on-site video visit, not a traditional visiting room setup.
Note: On-site video visitation is described as cost-free, but it’s limited to one free visit per week per inmate.
Each inmate gets one on-site video visit per week, lasting 15 minutes. If you're juggling work, childcare, or a long drive, keep that short window in mind. This is a quick check-in, not an extended visit.
Reminder: The free on-site visit allotment is one 15-minute visit per week per inmate.
On-site video visitation runs during set time blocks. Monday through Friday: 8:30am–10:30am, 1:30pm–3:45pm, and 7:00pm–8:30pm. Saturday and Sunday: 8:30am–10:30am and 1:30pm–3:45pm. Pick a day and time you can reliably make - showing up outside these windows means no visit.
Schedule at least 24 hours ahead. Don't wait until the morning you want to visit. Planning a weekend trip? Lock in your slot earlier in the week to avoid last-minute scrambling.
