To add money by mail, send a money order to: Middle River Regional Jail, Attn: Inmate Accounts, 350 Technology Drive, Staunton, VA 24401.
Note: Middle River Regional Jail does not accept personal checks or cash through the mail for inmate accounts.

- ✓ Keep the purchaser receipt for your records
There's a fee-free kiosk in the lobby for adding money to an inmate account. It only accepts cash, and the on-screen prompts walk you through each step.
The lobby is open 24 hours a day, so you can use the kiosk anytime. Need to speak with staff? The facility's business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Tip: Keep your receipt after depositing money at the kiosk.
You can add funds online through Access Corrections (AccessCorrections.com). Prefer to talk to someone? Call (866) 345-1884 to make a deposit with a live, bilingual agent.
Middle River Regional Jail uses a debit system for phone calls - inmates pay for calls using the funds in their account. Since inmates can only fund their phone account from their commissary (trust) balance, adding money to the trust account is what makes debit calling possible.
Collect calls are another option. The person receiving calls sets up a payment plan by creating an account through SmartInmate's website.
If your phone number got blocked and you want it unblocked, call Middle River Regional Jail at (540) 245-5420.
