What You Can (and Can't) Send to an Inmate at Midland County Jail: Mail, Photos, and Books

Midland County Jail accepts mail, pictures, and books. Stick to those categories and your item should make it through processing without issues. Skip the hygiene products, clothing, and jewelry - those will be rejected.

Mailing address tip: Personal mail must be sent to the Securus Digital Mail Center (not directly to the jail). Use the inmate’s full name and inmate ID, and make sure your return name and address are clearly on the envelope.

What You Can (and Can't) Send to an Inmate at Midland County Jail: Mail, Photos, and Books

Send as many photos as you'd like, but no polaroids. If you're printing pictures at a store or ordering online, check the format first - polaroid-style prints get rejected often.

  • No limited clothing
  • No pornographic/sexually explicit images
  • No gang signs
  • No paraphernalia
  • No images of drugs or alcohol

Note: Don’t decorate photos or include anything stuck to them - no stickers, post-it notes, glue, tape, glitter, stones, or ribbons. If you want your photos returned, include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your mailing.

Books must be paperback - hardbacks aren't allowed. They also need to ship directly from a legitimate source like the publisher, Amazon, or another reputable distributor. Don't mail books from your home address. For legal mail and publications sent from a publisher, distributor, or authorized retailer, address them to: Inmate Full Name – Inmate ID, C/O Midland County Sheriff's Office-Detention Division, P.O. Box 11387, Midland, TX 79701.

Mail containing contraband gets returned to the sender. Not sure if something qualifies? Leave it out. Stick to plain letters, approved photos, and properly sourced paperback books.
