Before Your First Video Visit at Mobile Metro Jail: 5 Rules to Avoid Being Turned Away

Mobile Metro Jail won't let you schedule last-minute or too far ahead. All visits must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance, but no more than 7 days in advance.

Being on time isn't enough - you need to be signed in before the visit starts. All visitors must be signed in 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visit start time. This applies to both onsite and remote visits. Visiting remotely? Treat this as a "log in early" rule. Get signed in, confirm everything's working, and don't wait until the last minute. Visiting onsite? Build in extra buffer so you're checked in with 15 minutes to spare.

Before scheduling anything, confirm you're allowed to visit. Only visitors on an inmate's approved visitation list may visit - if you're not on that list, the appointment won't matter. Plan your group size too. No more than four visitors are allowed per inmate. If you're unsure whether you're approved, check with the person you're visiting before picking a time.

Note: All personal video visits at Mobile Metro Jail are monitored and recorded. Keep conversations appropriate - don't share anything you wouldn't want reviewed later.
