Where and When to Post Bail in Monmouth County: Courthouse vs. Correctional Institution
Trying to post bail in Monmouth County? Where you go depends on when. During court business hours, you pay at the courthouse. After hours, you head to Booking at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution (but with fewer payment options).
On weekdays between 8:30am and 4:30pm, post bail at the Monmouth County Courthouse Central Fee Office. You'll find it on the 1st floor of the East Wing.

- ✓ If you plan to pay by check at the courthouse, it must be a certified check. Personal checks are not accepted
Outside courthouse hours on weekdays, or anytime on weekends, you post bail at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution. Payment is limited to cash or going through a bail bondsman. The Institution does not accept property payments or checks after hours, so plan accordingly.

- Go to the back entrance and report to Booking. When you arrive at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution to post bail after hours, you must proceed to the Booking area through the back entrance.
