Starting January 1, 2026, visits at the Washington State Reformatory Unit (WSRU) inside Monroe Correctional Complex must be scheduled in advance. The pilot program uses an email request system, and timing matters.
As of January 1, 2026, all visits at WSRU within Monroe Correctional Complex require advance scheduling. If you've been used to showing up without reserving a time slot, adjust your plans now. Walking in without a scheduled visit could mean a wasted trip.

The email scheduling process is only for visitors who are already approved for the person in custody. If you haven't been approved yet, sending an email request won't help.
Not on the approved visitor list? You'll need to complete the visitor application process first. Once you're approved, then you can schedule by email.
To schedule a WSRU visit under the January 1, 2026 pilot, send your request by email to docmccvisitreguests@doc1.wa.gov.
