Setting up video visits with Monroe Correctional Complex: Securus account tips and the WSRU 5‑day preschedule rule

Before booking a video visit, make sure you're set up correctly in the system. You'll need a Securus account, and you should confirm you're approved to visit the person you want to see. Schedules shift, and visits can get interrupted or cancelled based on facility needs. Check MCC's Facility Alerts & Notices and the visit/video visit schedules on the MCC facility webpage before locking in a time.

1. Create your Securus account - Use the Securus website or app to start your video visit setup.
2. Enter your legal first name, last name, and date of birth exactly as shown on your ID - This match matters; mismatched details can cause problems when you try to schedule or access a visit.
3. Leave out your middle name and middle initial - For MCC video visits, don’t add any middle-name information when you’re building your account profile.
4. Double-check everything before you save - Treat it like a ticket name: if your account doesn’t match your legal identification, you’re more likely to run into delays or errors later.

Visiting someone in WSRU? There's a scheduling rule that catches people off guard: WSRU video visits must be prescheduled online five days in advance. Last-minute booking won't work. Assume your video visit is being monitored. Keep things straightforward. Recording, photographing, streaming, or videoing the visit in any way is strictly prohibited - that includes saving clips or audio and sharing any part of it elsewhere.
