What physical contact is allowed during visits at Monroe Correctional Complex (hugs, kisses, holding hands)

Monroe Correctional Complex allows a brief kiss at the start and end of your visit - up to 5 seconds each. Keep it quick.

A brief hug is also permitted when you arrive and when you leave. The limit is 10 seconds, so think of it as a quick hello and goodbye.

Once the visit is underway, physical contact becomes more restricted. You can hold hands with your incarcerated loved one, but hands must stay visible at all times.

Other than holding hands, arm contact is only allowed up to the elbow. Anything above that is off-limits during the visit.
