You'll need a valid photo ID that shows your current address and date of birth. If either is missing or outdated, you could face delays - or get turned away entirely. Double-check before you leave home.

  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Valid state-issued ID card
  • Recognized school ID with photo
  • Military ID with photo
  • Passport with photo

Dress Code

  • Halter tops, half shirts, and/or tube tops
  • See-through (transparent) clothing or spaghetti-strap garments
  • Skirts, pants, or shorts above mid-thigh
  • Tight-fitting clothing that reveals body contour
  • Clothing that exposes the midriff area, significant portions of the torso or shoulders, or extremely low-cut shirts
  • Torn/ripped clothing that exposes underwear or private areas (underwear must not be visible)
  • Tight-fitting spandex clothing of any type (shirts, pants, jogging attire)
  • Headwear of any type (caps, hats, hoodies)
  • Any other clothing staff determine is clearly inappropriate

Note: MCCF staff have discretion on what counts as inappropriate attire. Even if something isn’t listed, you can still be denied entry if staff decide it doesn’t meet the dress code.

All visitors go through screening when they arrive. You'll pass through a metal detector, and anything you bring will be checked for contraband.

Note: If you can't clear the metal detector or meet screening requirements, you'll be denied entry. Visits can also end immediately during an emergency, and the schedule may change without notice.

Quarter-operated lockers are available near the entrance - you get your quarter back when you're done. MCCF isn't responsible for items left in your car or in the lockers, so only bring what you truly need.

Packing List

  • A valid photo ID with your current address and date of birth
  • Clothing that meets MCCF’s dress code (avoid anything listed as prohibited)
  • A quarter for the public locker
  • As few personal items as possible (plan to leave extras secured in your car or in a locker)

At the entrance, you'll go through the metal detector and have your belongings checked. Empty your pockets and keep carry-in items to a minimum - it speeds things up. Be flexible: the visiting schedule can change without notice, and if there's an emergency, visits end immediately.

Family visiting hours are 8:00am–11:00am, 1:30pm–4:00pm, and 6:00pm–8:30pm on visiting days. No family visits on Wednesdays. Since schedules can shift without warning, plan around those windows and expect possible delays.
