Pre-Release & Reentry Services (PRRS) Visiting: Different Rules from the Main Jail
If your loved one is at Pre-Release & Reentry Services (PRRS) in Rockville, don't assume the main jail's visiting rules apply. PRRS runs on its own schedule, with a different entry process and restrictions on where visitors can go inside.

Visiting Schedule
- ✓ Monday–Friday (Employed Residents): 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- ✓ Monday–Friday (All Residents): 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- ✓ Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays (All Residents): 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Enter through the front door - PRRS requires all visitors to come in through the front entrance.
- Go straight to the reception desk - you’ll sign in there and you must produce photo identification.
- Complete security screening - visitors are scanned by a metal detector, and any bags or parcels you bring are subject to search.
Note: While you’re at PRRS, visitors are restricted to the resident’s unit, the dining area, and the central recreation area.
PRRS and Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) handle visiting differently, so confirm where your loved one is housed before you go. At PRRS, weekday afternoon visiting (Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.) is for employed residents only. Evening hours (Monday–Friday, 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.) are open to all residents. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, there are two blocks: 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. MCCF runs on a different rhythm - three daily blocks at 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m., with no family visiting on Wednesdays. Show up using the wrong schedule and you'll miss your window entirely.
