Getting money onto an inmate's account at MCCF comes down to two things: using the lobby kiosk and hitting the Thursday morning cutoff. Here's how it works.
MCCF has a Secure Deposit Kiosk in the front lobby for adding money to inmate accounts. Bringing cash? Stick to $5, $10, $20, $50, or $100 bills - the kiosk won't accept $1 bills. Double-check your cash before heading in.
Credit and debit cards work too. Card transactions post electronically to the inmate's account, though you'll pay a transaction fee.
Each deposit is capped at $300.00. Need to add more? You'll have to split it into multiple transactions.
Commissary orders run on a weekly cycle - Friday through Thursday. The vendor's deadline is 2:00 pm Thursday, so funds need to be in place before then.
Deliveries arrive on Saturday, between 7:00 am and 11:00 am.
Deadline to remember: To make the commissary deadline, funds must be deposited by 8:00 am on Thursdays. That gives time for the account to be funded before the vendor’s 2:00 pm Thursday order deadline.
One more thing: even with a larger deposit, the commissary vendor caps what family members can order and send to an inmate at $25 per week.
