Don't send cash to a resident at Mountain View Correctional Facility. Cash through the mail isn't allowed. To get funds to your loved one, use the department's online Money Deposit Service instead.

What You Need

  • The resident’s MDOC number
  • The resident’s date of birth
  • A valid Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card

The online service lets you add money to a resident's general (trust) account or their phone account. Make sure you're selecting the right destination for what your person needs most.

Keep the daily caps in mind when planning your deposit. You can send up to $100 per day to a general (trust) account and $100 per day to a phone account. Want to fund both? The service requires you to pay for both deposits in a single transaction, so decide your split before you check out.

Heads up: Deposits made through the online service are non-refundable. Funds typically become available to the resident about 3 business days after your transaction.

Got questions about the deposit service or resident information? Contact the Department of Corrections Webdesk. For technical issues (site errors, payment processing problems), InforME handles support at customerservice@informe.org or 207-621-2600.
