Visiting Checklist for Natchitoches Parish Detention Center: What to Bring, Wear, and Leave Behind

Before you make the trip to Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, confirm you're eligible to visit. You must be on the incarcerated person's approved visiting list - no exceptions. The facility won't confirm your status over the phone, so your best bet is to check directly with the person you're planning to see.

When you arrive, you'll need to register with staff before entering the visiting area. Build in extra time so you're not rushing through check-in.

Photo ID and Registration

  • Valid driver’s license from your state of residence
  • Valid state photo identification card from your state of residence
  • Valid active-duty military photo identification card
  • Valid passport

Bring your photo ID every time if you're 18 or older - staff check it at each visit. You'll also register with staff before heading into the visiting area.

Items to Leave Behind

  • Cell phones and other electronic devices (including pagers)
  • Cameras
  • Video or audio recording equipment
  • Tobacco and tobacco-related items
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Controlled substances (including marijuana)

Warning: Never pass anything to the incarcerated person during a visit - no items, no money. Doing so without staff approval can result in arrest, criminal charges, and permanent loss of visiting privileges. Money deposits must go through JPAY (mail, internet, telephone, kiosks, or MoneyGram).
